Mega retailer Active Home
Centre announced its foray on Monday into the consumer financing market
offering competitive terms for its expanding customer base.
“This was definitely something we wanted to offer
to our shoppers and believe it will help to assuage tightening budgets in a
tough economy. Customers therefore will be able to access quality products and
complete their design and furnishing projects without worrying about how to
cover the costs,” said Christopher Graham,
Managing Director of Active Home Centre.

explained that the facility which is being offered throughScotiabank’s
micro financing arm - CrediScotia, required a minimum total spend of J$60,000
(including GCT) and was available across all product categories.
“Customers will be able to apply in-store
through our financing representatives and access any combination of products
from our line-up including
tiles, roofing, kitchen bathroom, lighting and furniture. Processing time is at maximum 3 working days with pick-up service
available just 24 hours after approval” said Roxanne Miller, Marketing and Sales
Manager of Active Home Centre. Repayment periods, Miller continued, were also
extremely flexible ranging from the standard 3-36 month contract or customized
to suit client requests.
The move to offer financing comes a year
after the opening of its new showroom on Constant Spring Road as well as rebranding to Active Home Centre. Spanning over 100,000
square feet, the modern complex allows customers to
visualise and tactility experience Active’s product
offerings for residential and commercial spaces. “With our improved facilities, diverse product
offerings and new financing programme, Active Home Centre is truly a one-stop
shopping experience complete with the expertise to provide advice on any
